Vince Hill to guest star in ‘Rodgers & Hammerstein’ charity show supporting Henley’s Kenton Theatre
Vince will be making a special guest appearance in Mike Sterling’s charity show “Celebrating The music of Rodgers and Hammerstein…and more“ on 1 March 2020 in aid of the upkeep and growth of Henley’s Kenton Theatre ( the 4th oldest theatre in the UK).
Leading West End artist Mike Sterling returns with international musician and impresario Toby Cruse on piano. Other guests include Joanne Pullen – Mike’s partner on stage from over 20 years ago in Phantom of the Opera where she played the role of Christine.
Prepare to be taken on an incredible musical journey through a golden era featuring five genius composers and lyricists with collaborations that go back a century this year: Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, Jerome Kern, Lorenz Hart and Sigmund Romberg with shows including Oklahoma!, Carousel, Showboat, South Pacific, The Desert Song and The Sound of Music.
Songs including Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, A Fine Romance, The Way You Look Tonight, The Lady Is a Tramp, My Funny Valentine, Edelweiss, If I Loved You, Some Enchanted Evening, Ol Man River and You’ll Never Walk Alone will feature in this magical evening of music and song.
